The Eton 8.1
The kit design originates from Eton, Eton drivers, crossovers are from Madisound. Remarkable sound, stunning, great bass: tight, deep.. fast. This speaker is really exceptional in it’s ability to deliver music. After building a pair for a customer who is thrilled with the sound. The kit pricing is very reasonable; it’s priced at $565 (summer 2010) Madisound sell the drivers, fill, wiring and of course the crossovers. I produce the enclosure, see above for pricing.
The cabinet is heavy, made to the Eton dimensions, porting maintained as designed. Anyone who seeks something really special should consider this. I can offer the cabinets as plain mdf, veneered and finished and as a complete speaker. The cabinet costs in cherry or oak are $765 per pair, add to this a $75 boxing/handling charge. The ups costs typicaly run between $85 to $120 depending on distance. Grills are not included.
